Kendell R. Delp, 18, of Amazonia, Missouri, passed away January 10, 2018 in an automobile accident near Savannah, Missouri.
He was born in St. Joseph on February 3, 1999 to Johnny Paul and Sara A. (Ramsey) Delp. Kendell was a senior at Savannah High School, and also attended auto technician classes at Hillyard Technical School.
Kendell worked at Gibson’s Garage in Savannah. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul Delp. Kendell’s honorary grandfather, James L. Kempa, passed away on January 12, 2018.
Survivors include his parents, Johnny P. Delp and Brenda K. Kempa, of their home in Amazonia; his mother, Sara Ramsey-Delp of Falls City, Nebraska; brothers, Randy P. Delp of Kansas City, Missouri, Jesse Ramsey of Barnard, Missouri, Daniel Frenzel of Nebraska City, Nebraska, and William Delp of the home; grandmothers, Vesta Delp of Oregon, Missouri, and Mary Kempa of Amazonia; honorary grandmother, Theresa Mackey of Oregon; girlfriend, Kendra Curtis; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services: Monday, January 15, 2018, 3:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Missouri. Family will greet friends following the service. Private family inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon. Memorials: To the funeral home to help with expenses.
