Kenneth W. Caton, 74, passed away Feb. 9, 2017 at his Forest City home.

He was born near Oregon, Mo. on July 18, 1942. Kenneth graduated from Oregon High School and farmed in Holt County. He also served in the Air National Guard in St. Joseph for several years.

On June 18, 1967 he married Irene Linville in Burlington Junction, Mo. and they became parents of five children. She survives of their home.

Kenneth is also survived by their children, Korine Caton, St. Joseph; Kristine Johnson, Mound City, Mo., Karla (Pete) Webster, Mound City, Wayne (Michelle) Caton, Forest City, and Karrie (Mike) Wright, St. Joseph; siblings, Glenn (Carolyn) Caton, and Jim (Mary Jane) Broker, all of Mound City, and Merrilee (Richard) Markt, Oregon, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Frank and Doris V. (Schaeffer) Caton.

In his spare time Kenneth enjoyed woodworking and fixing things. He was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Oregon.

Services: Mon., Feb. 13, 2017, 10:30 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family visitation: Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the funeral home. Interment: Benton Cemetery, Forest City.
