Kenneth D. Gordon, 70, passed away in Stark City, Mo. on Nov. 13, 2015.
He was born in St. Joseph, Mo. and graduated from Forest City High School. Kenny served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
He worked in construction in Holt County before retiring and moving to Carthage in 2011. He had also served as Holt County Deputy Sheriff for several years.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Mable (Dinwiddie) Gordon.
Survivors include his daughters, Maggie Gordon, Maryville, Mo., and Sarah Gordon, Platte City, Mo.; brother, Bill (Connie) Gordon, Forest City, Mo.; sister, Sue (Larry) Miller, Oregon, Mo.; special friends, Donnie May, Rick Olbrey, Felix and Margaret Wright, and Vicky Newton; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services: Tues., Nov. 17, 2015, 2:00 p.m., Risen Ranch Cowboy Church, Carthage, Mo. Interment with military rites: Wed., Nov. 18, 2015, 11:30 am, Forest City Union Cemetery, Forest City. Family will greet friends at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon beginning at 10:00 am Wednesday, prior to the interment service.
Memorials: Holt County Cancer Fund or the Forest City Cemetery.
