Kenneth D. Thompson was born on December 14, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Thomas H. and Viola Fern (Hall) Thompson.
He graduated from Oregon High School in 1969, and then served in the U.S. Army.
Kenny loved his family. When he was young, his family would go to family gatherings at Grandma Hall's cabin at Big Lake State Park. There would be lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. When he was older he would drive from St. Joseph each day to visit his mom. He enjoyed seeing his grandkids. Kenny had three children, Shawn, Shelly Rae, and Amy, and was blessed with two more children, Ron and Shelly Ann.
Kenneth was an outdoors guy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved working with the livestock and planting crops as he farmed for a living. Like many farmers he was an early riser, and would go to the local cafe for his morning coffee and to visit with the guys.
Kenny member of the Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star.
