Larry D. Scroggins was born in Forbes, Missouri on November 21, 1943. He was one of five sons of Leonard and Berneta (Barrett) Scroggins.

Larry attended school in Forbes, and graduated from Oregon High School in 1961.

On April 13, 1963 he married Ronna Beth Lippold in Oregon, and they became parents of two children.

Larry worked for Mead Westab in St. Joseph. He also worked as a salesman for Moorman’s Manufacturing, and painted houses.

Larry passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 near Oregon at the age of 74.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Francis and Vick. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ronna Beth of their Oregon home; son, Monty (Lisa) Scroggins of Oregon; daughter, Shelly Markt of Oregon; brothers, LaVerne Scroggins of Forest City, and Dave (Judy) Scroggins of Oregon; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: Saturday, April 21, 2018, 10:30 am, Oregon Christian Church. Family visitation 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, April 20, 2018, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: Forbes Cemetery Association.
