Larry Joe Wilson

Larry Joe Wilson died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his home in Independence, Mo. at the age of 79.  His daughter Sherry and granddaughter RheaAnn were close by his side and he had many visitors in his last hours.

He was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Oregon Mo., to John and Lena Wilson. Larry enjoyed his young life with his siblings, John Jay, Jr., Shirley Roselle, Nancy Jean, David Earl, Linda Lou, Judy Kay, and Clara Elizabeth.

Larry graduated from Oregon High school in 1957. In 1960, Larry married Nancy Ann Swartz. They had two daughters, Sherry Ann and Kelli Elizabeth.  He later married Wanda Watson, and then Ann Elliot, now divorced

Larry spent most of his adult life living in the Kansas City area. Sherry and Kelli remember growing up mainly in the Raytown, Mo. area.

He is survived by his brother, David (Elaine) Wilson; brother-in-law, Stan Hall; and sisters, Shirley Higby, Linda (Wayne) Williamson, Clara (Randy) Puckett; daughters, Sherry Moffett and Kelli (Robert) Woltemath; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Wilson, Jr.; sister, and brother-in-law, Nancy (Earl) Suppenbach; and sister, Judy Hall.

Memorial services: Thursday, July 18, 2019, 4:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Missouri. Private family inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery.
