Leonard Brock was born in Forbes, Missouri on March 4, 1930 to Charlie and Alta (Miller) Brock. He attended school in Forbes, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On October 2, 1949 he married Donna Gillenwater, and they became parents of three children. Leonard worked as a mechanic for Ideker Construction for many years.
Leonard passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri at the age of 83.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Roberta Travis; and brother, Bill Brock.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Donna, of their Oregon home; daughters, Karen (Kirby) Younger, Oregon, and Debra (Ray) Hunziger, Fairgrove, Missouri; son, Leonard M. “Mike” (Kerry) Brock, Oregon; brother, Marvin Brock, Oregon; sisters, Marge Westmoreland and Linda (Ralph) Bisig, both of Forbes; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon. Family greeted friends one hour prior to services. Interment with military rites was held at Forbes Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Forbes Cemetery.
