Lewis A. Miller

Lewis A. Miller was born May 20, 1921, one of four sons of Iven and Ida (Burrier) Miller.

Lewis served overseas in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945.

He married Helen Hunziger on June 7, 1948, and they became parent of four children.

Lewis worked at several jobs, retiring from Husky Refining in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Millers returned to Oregon in 2002.

Lewis passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at an Oregon healthcare facility at the age of 94.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Paul; and brothers, Glenn and Galen.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen, of Oregon; their children, Bernard (Mary) Miller, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stanley (Patricia) Miller, Moscow, Idaho, and Kim (Timothy) Steckler, Peoria, Arizona; brother, Lawrence Miller of Oregon; 13 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services: Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, 11:00 am, Oregon Christian Church, where family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.  Interment with military rites: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: Maple Grove Church Association or the Oregon Christian Church.
