Linda LeAnne (Scott) Beesley was born September 2, 1954 to the late Melvin Scott and Ramona “Winnie” (Mann) Scott.
She was called home Sunday afternoon August 14, 2011 at Fairfax Community Hospital at the age of 56.
Linda lived in Craig, Missouri with David Trauernicht. She had been a resident of Holt County most of her life. She raised three children, Whitney, Candi, and Anthony. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so many.
She worked at Kwik Zone in Mound City, Missouri for several years. She had previously worked at the Squaw Creek restaurant and the Big Lake dining lodge.
When Linda wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time with family, working in her yard, catching up on the gossip of Facebook, and relaxing on her porch swing with her pups, Salli and Grouch.
She will be deeply missed by all family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father; baby daughter, Melinda Dawn; and husband, John Beesley.
Survivors include her mother, Ramona Scott of Mound City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gregory and Dinah Scott of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Melvin L. and Norma Scott of Savannah, Missouri; three children, Whitney Gilland of Mound City, Candi Wright and husband Roman of Skidmore, Missouri, and Anthony Gilland of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Zachary and Evan Gilland, Justin, Geoffrey, Courtney, and Aaron Wright, and Sydnee, Haydenn, and Tristan Gilland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services and interment were held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, or charity of donor's choice.
