Linda Caton

Linda L. Caton was born on August 24, 1951 in Fairfax, Missouri. She was the daughter of Chester B. “Chet” and Donna L. (Shaver) Caton.

Linda graduated from Mound City High School in 1969, and then attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. She worked as a medical transcriptionist.

Linda passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at an Omaha hospital at the age of 61.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Donna Caton, and an aunt, Margery MacFarland.

Survivors include her father, Chet Caton, of Mound City; her good friend, Mark Russell of Gladstone, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Bill Clay of Kansas City, Missouri; nephews, William K. Clay of Denver, Colorado, and Brad Clay of Kansas City, Missouri; niece, Mindy Dion of Kansas City, Missouri; and cousins, Stephen and his wife Beverly McCann of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Anita McCann of Omaha, and John and his wife Nancy McCann of Omaha.

Linda enjoyed music, and played the piano and sang. She was very interested in, and followed, politics.

Memorial services were held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Inurnment was held at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Mound City Nutrition Site.
