Lois L. Drewes Woods

Lois L. Drewes Woods, 91, of Mound City, passed away Dec. 27, 2017  at Tiffany Heights  care center in Mound City, Missouri.

Lois was born May 17, 1926 in Mound City. On March 1, 1948 she married Bane Drewes. They became parents of two children. Bane passed away in 1993. She married Tom Woods on April 4, 1999, and Tom passed away in 2010.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Blair and Estie May Hester Thomas, sisters, Mildred Rebel and Mary Andler, and brother-in-law, James Schoonover.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Kunkel of Nixa, Missouri; son, Terry Drewes of St. Joseph, Missouri; sister-in-law, Faire Schoonover of Mound City; five grandchildren, Kristin (Travis) Hoggatt of St. Joseph, Cherah Renai (James) Curtis of Stone Mountain, Georgia,  Kara (Joel) Griffin of Nixa, KaLea (Joshua) Lehman of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Drew (Mallorie) Kunkel of Oregon, Missouri; 12 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Lois was a member of The First Christian Church and P.E.O.

Service: Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018,  11:30 am,  Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Family will greet friends beginning at 10:30 am. Private family interment: Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City. Memorials: Mount Hope Cemetery, Tiffany Heights Activity Fund, or First Christian Church, Mound City.
