Lynnetta M. Meng

Lynnetta M. Meng was born in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado on October 18, 1921, the youngest of four daughters of Ulysses Grant and Anna Sophia (Kramer) Weigel.

Lynnetta graduated from Oregon High School, and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Northwest Missouri State Teachers College in Maryville, Missouri.

On April 14, 1946 she married Lloyd Forrest Meng in Troy, Kansas. They became parents of three children. Lloyd passed away in 2000.

Lynnetta passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 95.

Lynnetta was also preceded in death by her sisters, Inez Weigel, Leila Ratasep and Viola Brunk.

Services: Saturday, August 5, 2017, 11:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon. Memorials: Maple Grove Cemetery Association.
