Marjorie M. Sybert

Marjorie M. Sybert was born on April 11, 1917 in Rock Port, Missouri, the daughter of James W.L. and Nora (Smith) Reeder.

Marjorie was of the Baptist faith. She received her education at the Rock Port school.

On April 3, 1937 she was married to Oba Sybert. They had one son, Jimmie Dale Sybert. They were later divorced.

Marjorie spent most of her life in Rock Port. She spent several years managing the White Rock Motel and the Best Western with her son.

Marjorie passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Pleasant View nursing home at the age of 95.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Genevieve King, Vera Moorman and Opal King; brothers, Fred and Orville Reeder; nieces, Della M. Long and Eva Mae Hunter; and nephews, Harold D. King, Ray King, Jr., and Donald L. King.

Survivors include her son, Jimmie Dale Sybert of Sidney, Iowa; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jill (Randy) Tracy of Savannah, Missouri, Tracy (Michael) Lovett of Sidney, Travis Sybert of Kansas City, Missouri, Breea (Brett) Holmes of Knob Noster, Missouri, and Jade (Lori) Sybert of Rock Port; nine great grandchildren, Devon Tracy, Sloane Killion, Sterling, Starson and Sailor Lovett, Trenton, Avery and Madelyn Holmes, and Carsyn Sybert; and nieces and nephews.

Marjorie enjoyed cooking and entertaining her grandchildren.

Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Rock Port Baptist Church.  Inurnment was held at Greenhill Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the fund for great granddaughter Carsyn Sybert, for medical expenses.
