Martin "Mike" Ayers Hoover

Martin A. “Mike” Hoover, 80, of Forest City, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at a Mound City care center.

Mike was born on July 7, 1943 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Marion and May F. (Cummings) Hoover. He graduated from Forest City High School in 1961.

On August 28, 1966 he married Betty Dozier in St. Joseph, Missouri. They became parents of a son and a daughter. Mike and Betty later divorced.

Mike worked as a truck driver. In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his children, Joanne (Brad) Morrison of Oreana, Illinois, and Donald M. Hoover of Oregon; and two grandchildren, Garett and Kathryn.

Funeral services: Friday, September 29, 2023, 2:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends following the service. Inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery.
