Mary Jane Broker

Mary Jane (Dwyre) Broker was born in Maitland, Missouri on December 4, 1942 to Ronald and Catherine (Bird) Dwyre.

She married James Franklin “Jim” Broker on September 2, 1958. They celebrated their 60 ^th anniversary last year. They resided in or around Mound City, Missouri most of their married life.

To this union were born two daughters: Catherine Elizabeth Younger, Savannah, and Mary Ann Eisiminger of Big Lake. Grandchildren include Joshua (Sirena) Younger of Clinton, Missouri, Katherine Leach of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Jason (Falisha) Leach of Wathena, and AJ Leach of Kansas City, Missouri. Great grandchildren include: Alexis and Kayla Younger, Kayzen, Korbyn, and Kian Leach; and sisters include: Naomi Morgan and Ruby Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Dwyre; and sister, Anna Catherine Gilliland.

Mary worked many jobs around the area. One of her favorites was with the Davis Bus Company, which became Laidlaw. She enjoyed everyone she worked with and especially the time with the children.

In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. Family dinners were among her treasured times.

Mary passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at her Mound City home, surrounded by her family. She was very appreciative of all the ones who offered prayer and support to her and her family during her courageous battle with cancer.
