Merle (Bender) Miller, 93, passed away Sept. 30, 2014 at an Oregon healthcare facility.
Merle was born in New Point, Mo., and graduated from New Point High School in 1939. She married Galen Miller in 1945, and they became parents of two daughters. Merle and Galen celebrated their 69th anniversary on Sept. 1.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Claude and Mabel (Davis) Bender; and sister, Doris Lemon.
Survivors include her husband, Galen, and daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie and Tom Williams, and Janet and B. J. Bailey, all of Oregon, Missouri; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services: Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the Christian Church in Oregon, Mo. The family greeted friends at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: Oregon Christian Church. To order memorial trees in memory of Merle W. Miller, please visit our tree store.
