Muriel "Beth" Elizabeth Underwood

Muriel Elizabeth "Beth" Underwood, 85, passed away on Aug. 2, 2019 at a Rock Port care facility.

Beth was an avid reader, accomplished pianist, and artist. She grew up in Hamburg, Iowa along with her younger siblings, Claire Solzman and Margaret (Solzman) Benson.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Dorothy (Castleman) Solzman; husband, Raymond; and siblings, Claire and Margaret.

She is survived by their children, Shawn (Jennifer) Underwood of Watsonville, California, Shannon (Greg) Evans of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mianne Irick of Portland, Oregon; nieces, Katherine Caradori and Amy Rogers; and nephews, David and Eric Solzman.

Funeral Services: Thursday, August 8, 2019, 11:00 am, Rock Port Baptist Church. Family will greet friends following the services. Interment: Elmwood Cemetery, Rock Port. Memorials: Atchison County Library or the Rock Port Senior Center.
