Nancy L. Green

Nancy Louise Green, age 84, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

She was born in Pasadena, Texas on May 13th, 1940 to Myrtle L. (Van Norman) Clarke and C.V. Clarke.

Nancy earned her B.A. at Park College in Parkville, Missouri, and her Masters of Library Science at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.  She worked for the North Kansas City Public Library and the Johnson County Library until her retirement from both the state of Missouri and the state of Kansas.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bobby Clarke, her son Stephen Kirk Showalter, and her daughter Amy Lynne Showalter.

She is survived by her brother Buddy Clarke (Lucy), her daughters Allison Bonney (Marshall Cole) and Andrea Wentz (David Wentz), three granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and her dearest and most beloved Lanny Green.

Memorial services will be held at Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City, MO at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024; internment will be held at 1:00 pm at Tharp Cemetery in Craig, Missouri.
