Otis Eugene George was born March 17, 1934 in Oregon, Mo. to Carl Otis and H. Cathryn (Crider) George.
A lifetime resident of the Oregon community, Otis married Nina Elder on July 8, 1953. They became parents of one son, Michael Eugene.
Otis worked as a mechanic and he and his son farmed together.
Otis passed away at the Oregon Care Center on Sept. 24, 2015 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Otis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nina, of their Oregon home; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Beverly George, Oregon; sister, Jaunita Price, Oregon; granddaughters, Carolyn (Jason) Hall, Mound City, Mo. and Andrea (Blair) McCoy, Kansas City, Mo.; great grandsons, Justyn and Jacob Hall; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services: Monday, Sept. 29, 2015, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services.
