Peggy Shubert

Peggy Sue Shubert was born Sept. 8, 1949, in Craig, Mo., the daughter of Max and Winnie (Randall) Shubert.  Peggy passed away March 31, 2018, at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, NE.

Peggy was a graduate of Mound City High School and held Masters Degrees in Chemistry and Microbiology.  She had a long and varied career working in several different jobs and locations throughout the United States.  She most recently retired to her hometown in Mound City, Mo., to be near her family.

Among her greatest joys were spending time with family and serving as the family photographer.  She also loved tending to her plants and garden herbs.  Peggy was a special person who loved the Lord and had a big heart for others.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother; a sister, Debbie Shubert; and nieces, Annetta and Carrie Shellito.

Survivors include her father, Max, of Mound City; sisters, Becky (Steve) Shellito of St. Joseph, Mo., and Sherry (David) Wilson of Forest City, Mo.; brother, Ron (Shelly) Shubert of St. Joseph; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Ryan) Brown, Misty (Mark) Allen, Angie (Charlie) Hughes, Jeremy (Jess) Smith, Amy (Pat) Ryan, David Wilson, Ben (Morgan) Shellito, and Kayla Shubert; 16 grand nieces and nephews; and several cousins and friends.

Services: Wed., April 4, 2018, 11:00 am, Benton Church, Mound City, where family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment: Benton Church Cemetery. Memorials: Benton Church Cemetery.
