U.S. Army veteran Ralph Kibbey, 71, of Fairfax, Mo., formerly of Maitland, Mo., passed away Tues., June 1 , 2021 at a Fairfax hospital.
He was born on June 5, 1949 in Newberry, Michigan to Ralph and Nancy (Curry) Kibbey. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Sheila Chapman in 1971, and they moved to Maitland in 2011. Sheila passed away in 2013.
Also preceding him was his father, Ralph, and his brother, Carl Kibbey.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Powell of Albany, Oregon; his daughter and son-in-law, Leah Frost and Duane Ward of Henderson, Nevada; two grandchildren, Drylee and Bishop Frost; sisters, Debra Fessenden of Portland, Oregon, and Deedra Ruckert and Denene McNeal, both of Albany; his best friend, Lela Wright of Fairfax; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman.
No services will be held in Missouri. Joint inurnment services for Ralph and Sheila Kibbey will be held at a later date at the Myrtle Creek, Oregon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
