Richard Dean O'Connell was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on
May 8
, 1952. He was the oldest of four children of Arthur Condon "A.C." or "Red" and Martha May (Riley) O'Connell.
Richard graduated from South Holt High School, and while living in Oregon worked for the former Pettijohn-Eiser Funeral Home.
Richard had lived in Arizona, California, and Washington, and had worked at several art galleries in those states. He loved singing in church choir, and was a member of the Oregon United Methodist Church. Richard was retired, and enjoyed spending time walking his dogs.
Richard passed away near his Seattle, Washington home on Tuesday,
February 9
, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy (Roberta) O'Connell, Conception Junction, Missouri and Rodney (Dena) O'Connell, Tarkio, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Robin (Danny) Atkins, Trimble, Missouri; nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
