Robert T. “Bob” Elliott

Robert T. “Bob” Elliott was born in Holt County, Missouri, on April 16, 1925. He was one of twelve children of John P. “Bob” and Eunice M. (Hughes) Elliott.

On January 3, 1945 he married Cathryn L. Timmons in Troy, Kansas. They became parents of two daughters.

Bob farmed, drove trucks hauling grain and livestock, and owned and operated Elliott Feed Store in Oregon. They moved to St. Joseph in the late 1970’s.

Bob passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his St. Joseph home at the age of 87.

Preceding him in death were his parents; six brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Cathryn, of their St. Joseph home; daughters, Evelyn Smith and Betty Penland, both of Oregon; brother, Ronald Elliott of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren; step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services were held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon. Interment was at the Highland Cemetery in Oregon. Memorials may be directed to Kendallwood Hospice.
