Robert M. "Bob" Quick, age 82, of Oregon, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Oregon Care Center.
He was born on April 28, 1929 in Forest City, Missouri, the son of Guinn and Mildred (Jourdon) Quick.
On April 26, 1953 he married Dorothy Louise Pullen in Oregon, Missouri. They became parents of three children.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tommie Guinn Quick; brother, Jim Quick; sister, Louise Miller; and brother-in-law, Curt Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, R. Scott and Mary Quick of Dawson, Minnesota; daughter and son-in-law, Janet S. and Rick Boswell of Oregon; daughter-in-law, Gay Quick of Oregon; brother, George Ronald "Ronny" Quick of Oregon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Guinnedeane Brown of Oregon, Rita and Bill McWilliams of Oregon, and Shirley and Johnny Taylor of White Cloud, Kansas; six grandchildren, Matthew (Romelia) Quick, Mark (Elizabeth) Quick, Lindsey Quick, Harrison Quick, Zachary ( Brenda) Boswell, and Megan (Joshua) DeBee; seven great grandchildren, Kaylin, Elayna, Claire, Isabella and William Quick, and Chloe and Emalynn DeBee; and nieces and nephews.
Bob enjoyed hunting, horse trading, and trading wagons. He was widely known for holding sales for draft horses, mules, and horse-drawn equipment. His favorite hobby was creating the town and country of Quickville. Bob attended the First Christian Church.
Services were held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Oregon. Interment was held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Oregon. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church, Hands of Hope Hospice, or the charity of donor's choice.
