Robert L. "Bobbie" Simerly

Robert Lee “Bobbie” Simerly was born in Maryville, Missouri on January 8, 1938.

Bobbie grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri and entered the United States Navy at age 18.

He married Lauralou Nauman and they became parents of two children, son Jerry and daughter Louanna. Bobbie later married Ramona Jean (Anderson) Fuller in 1987.

Bobbie passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at a Savannah, Missouri nursing home at the age of 82.

Preceding him in death were his daughter, Louanna Shields; four brothers, Charles Jr., Billy Ray, Gerald "Jerry," and Everett "Gene' Simerly; and five sisters, Geraldine "Jerry" Simerly, Virginia Walters, June Maxine Gann, and infant twin sisters, Norma Jean and Mary Louise Simerly.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona, of Oregon, Missouri; son, Jerry Lee Simerly; stepsons, Robert Fuller of Nebraska, Gary Fuller of Savannah, Missouri, and David Fuller of Forest City, Missouri; sisters, Shirley Frederick and Debbie Simerly, both of St. Joseph, Missouri, Carolyn Ogilvie of Edward, Missouri, and Charlie Chester Simerly of Kentucky; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bobbie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial services: Monday, March 2, 2020, 7:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Private family inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery.
