Robert S. Stephenson

Robert S. Stephenson was born in Kansas City on March 29, 1928, the only child of John L. and Allie (Hershner) Stephenson. He graduated from New Point High School in 1946.

On June 18, 1949 he married Dorothy M. Lenz in Savannah, Missouri. They made their home on the farm near Oregon for all their 64 years together.

Robert farmed, raising both livestock and row crops.

Robert passed away on Monday, September 23 , 2013 at a Kansas City hospital at the age of 85.

Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Oregon, Missouri; their sons, Roger (Mary) of Platte City, Missouri and Ronnie of Oregon, Missouri; and three grandsons, Kyle, Chad and Todd Stephenson.

Services were held on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Oregon. There was no family visitation, but friends could call at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Interment was held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon.
