Robert H. Whipple, 87, entered his Eternal Home on March 1, 2019 after a lengthy illness in Conroe, Texas.
Born and raised in Forest City, Missouri, he was the son of Lloyd and Lulu Whipple.
Bob served in Korea as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. Many will remember Bob working in St. Joseph at the Rainbo Bread company. Another passion of his was car sales in Lubbock, Texas. After retiring, Bob and Peggy traveled the United States as relief managers for Private Mini Storage.
On April 30, 1955 Bob married Peggy Sipes of Oregon, Missouri. She survives of the home. Bob is also survived by their three children, Judy (Mark) Reynolds, and twins, Tom (Mary) Whipple and Tim (JoAnne) Whipple; six grandchildren, Joe Reynolds, Chris (Davida) Reynolds, Jennifer Whipple, Kirk Whipple, Kylee Whipple, and Ryan Whipple; one great granddaughter, Autumn Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his sisters, infant Sina Ann Whipple, Florence Schaffer, Katherine Guyer, Marie Matthews, Violet Sinkhorn, Mary Sharp, and Lois Sharp.
Bob spent his adult life committed to the Lord and active in a Southern Baptist church, where he was an ordained deacon.
Family visitation: Friday, March 8, 2019, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, followed by funeral services with military honors. Officiating: Dr. Larry Sipes. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery.
