Robert G. Zona

Robert "Bob" Zona passed away peacefully at his Oregon, Missouri home on Friday, November 22nd, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Bob was born on January 4th, 1948 in St. Joseph, Missouri to the late John W. and Lucy Mae (Gillenwater) Zona.

Bob graduated from Oregon High School in 1965. He served in the US Army from 1967-1969 and upon discharge, he spent the rest of his life doing what he loved: farming. Besides farming, Bob enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandsons and visiting with his friends and neighbors. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memories include his son, Tim Zona, of Clarinda, Iowa; daughter, Kelli (Javier) Andrade, of Roanoke, Texas; two grandsons, Ryan Zona and Royce Andrade; and his many cousins and friends. A special thank you from the family to all of his friends and neighbors who have stopped by during this time and offered their condolences.

A private service will be held at the family farm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made on his behalf to Mosaic Life Care Hospice.
