Ronald Gilland

Ronald Gilland was born in Maitland, Missouri on July 4, 1943, and graduated from Mound City High School.

In 1981 he married Beverly Fries. Ronald and was a truck driver.

Ronald served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

Ronald passed away at his Craig, Missouri home on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the age of 70.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John F. Miller and Audrey (Perry) Gilland; son, John A. Miller; daughter, Kathy Frost; brothers, Maurice and Monte Miller; and sisters, Gloria Keaster and Donna Aue.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of their Craig home; sons, Steve Miller of Pawnee City, Nebraska, Bill Miller of Craig, and Robert Miller of Osceola, Missouri; daughters, Patty Osten of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Tammy Thomas of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Candace Wright of Maryville, Missouri; brothers, Billy Miller of Yerrington, Nevada, and Richard Gilland; sister, Naomi Rippey of St. Joseph, Missouri; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Memorial service with military rites were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. A private family inurnment was held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City. Memorials may be directed to the Ronald Gilland Memorial Fund or Three Rivers Hospice.
