Rosalie Klaasmeyer

Rosalie Klaasmeyer, 81, of Oregon, Mo, passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at a Fairfax, Missouri hospital.

She was born on December 2, 1940 in Macy, Nebraska to Wilson E. and Rosalie (Wolfe) Freemont.

Rosalie obtained her LPN certificate in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She most recently worked at the Oregon Care Center.

Rosalie married John Klaasmeyer in Elk Point, South Dakota, and they became parents of five children. They later divorced, and John passed away in 2013.

Rosalie enjoyed Chiefs football and Royals baseball, as well as attending local school events. She also enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, and reading. Rosalie was a full-blooded Native American, and a member of the Omaha Tribe.

In addition to her former husband, John,  preceding her in death were her parents; son, John Nathan Klaasmeyer; infant daughters, Carol and Bette; and sisters, Cleola Painter, and Rosalinda, Laura Ann, and Joyce Freemont.

Survivors include her children, Joyce (Mark) Plummer and Danny “Gus” Klaasmeyer, all of Oregon; grandsons, Aaron Plummer (Lisa Fansher) and John (Rachel) Plummer, all of Oregon, and Blaine (Abbie) Klaasmeyer of Union Star, Mo.; half-sister, Maxine Freemont; half-brothers, Wilson Fremont, Jr. and George Freemont; four great grandchildren, Trista, Charlotte, Theo, and Hazel Plummer; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday , Jan. 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be held at Forest City Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Forest City Union Cemetery or charity of donor's choice.
