Sharon Arlene (Pedersen) Dozier, 85, passed away July 1, 2021, at an Oregon, Missouri health care facility.
She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on July 2, 1935, one of six children of James and Elsie Pedersen. Sharon grew up and at tended school in St. Joseph.
On July 18, 1953, she married Douglas Franklin Dozier in St. Joseph. They became par ents of five children.
Sharon worked in pa tient care in area hospitals and nursing homes. Fol lowing Douglas’s death in 1993, she worked for the former Schuylkill Met als in Forest City.
Sharon was also pre ceded in death by her par ents; her brothers, Jack, Ronnie, and LaMont Peder sen; and grandson, Nicholas Dozier.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Larry (Kerdonna) Dozier of Oregon, Dennis (Cindy) Dozier of Medina, Tennessee, Rick Dozier of Oregon, Randy (Angie) Dozier of St. Joseph, and Sandy (Scott) Smith of High land, Kansas; brother, Mike Pedersen of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Laura Mae Wattenbarger of Miami, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services: Monday, July 5, 2021, 10:00 am, Chamber lain Funeral Home, Ore gon. F amily will greet friends Sunday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment: Benton Church Ceme tery, Forest City, Missouri. Memorials: Holt County Autumn Festival, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospi tal, or Benton Church Cemetery.
