Sharon L Stone

Sharon (Gordon) Stone, 73, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Elkhorn Life Care Center in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Sharon was born December 31, 1949 to parents Albert “Curly” and Letha Mae (Bahler) Gordon. Sharon graduated from South Holt High School. She married Larry Stone; they later divorced.

Sharon worked for Light & Power in Mound City and in St. Joseph. She also owned grocery stores in Forest City and Mound City. Sharon baked cakes and catered weddings for many years. She was also an agent for Bankers Life Insurance and lived in St. Joseph, Missouri. She later moved to Omaha, Nebraska.

Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Melanie Redinbaugh and grandson Roran, both of Omaha; siblings, Larry (Kathy) Gordon of Mound City, Lila (Wayne) Atkins of Oregon, Rosemary Gordon of Sidney, Iowa, and Roger (Susie) Gordon of Kansas City, Missouri; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Wednesday, October 25, 2023, 2:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Forest City Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Forest City Union Cemetery, Maple Grove Cemetery, or Forest City United Methodist Church.
