Shelby M. Frederick

Shelby M. Frederick, 37, passed away in his New Point, Missouri home on Sept. 15, 2018.

He was born in Kansas City, Mo. on Oct. 26, 1980, the youngest of three children of Jerald and Kathern (Hurst) Frederick.

Shelby graduated from South Holt High School in 1999. He then worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for several years. He was currently working for the City of Oregon street and water department.

Shelby was preceded in death by his mother, Kathern Hurst.

Shelby is survived by his father, Jerald “Jerry” M. Frederick, New Point; sisters, Jennifer (Patrick) Long, Dunnellon, Florida, and Heather McDaniel and William Pineda of Amity, Mo.; nieces, Kennedy and Jaelynn Frederick; nephews, Dakota Long and Riley Hughes; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

Shelby enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Shelby was baptized at the Oregon Christian Church.

Services: Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018, 11:00 am,  Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family visitation: Wed., Sept. 19, 2018, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the funeral home. Interment:  Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon.
