Shelia D. Kibbey, 61, of Maitland, Missouri, passed away on Wed., Sept. 25, 2013 at a St. Joseph hospital.
She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her family soon moved to Myrtle Creek, Oregon, and she graduated from high school there.
She married Ralph Kibbey in 1971, and they moved to Maitland in 2011.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Chapman; stepfather, Herschel Taylor; and niece, Denise Chamberlin.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ralph, of their home; their daughter and son-in-law, Leah Frost and Duane Ward of Durango, Colo.; two grandchildren, Drylee and Bishop Frost; her mother, Jeannie Taylor of Myrtle Creek; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Jim Bucknell of Riverton, Wyo., Sandy and Chuck Anderson of Post Falls, Idaho, Sharon and Ron Robinson of Myrtle Creek, and Pam and Wes Clymer of Sacramento, Calif.; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Family greeted friends following the services. Inurnment will be held at Myrtle Creek IOOF Cemetery at a later date.
