Shirley S. Davis

Shirley Sue Davis was born in Forest City, Missouri on June 15, 1933. She was one of seven children born to Bill and Edith (Elder) Buckles.

Shirley attended Forest City High School. On March 26, 1950 she married Doyle R. Davis in Wathena, Kansas. They became parents of three children. Shirley was a housewife and worked on their farm in Holt County.

Shirley passed away at Mosaic on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the age of 84.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and six other siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Howard) Hunter and Marla Davis and fiancé Marty Weets; and one son, Raymond (Gail) Davis.

Shirley loved and enjoyed her five grandchildren along with 11 great grandchildren. She loved and adored each and every one of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her family more than anything in life, along with the wonderful neighbors she lived by after moving from the farm of 50 plus years.

Shirley attended Forest City Christian Church.

Funeral services: Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 11:00 am, Forest City Christian Church. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services, at the church. Interment: Benton Cemetery. Memorials: Oregon Care Center. Care entrusted to Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon.
