Shirley Ann Markt was born October 9, 1935. She was one of two children of Lyle and Vernie (Chaney) Davis.
Shirley graduated from Skidmore High School. She then married Edward R. Markt. He passed away in 1983.
Shirley passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at a Maryville, Missouri hospital at the age of 80.
In addition to her husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles W. Davis.
Survivors include her sons, Stacy Markt of Maryville, and Bryan Markt of Maitland; sister, Billie Janette McDonald of May, Texas; nieces and nephews; and friends and caregivers at Nodaway Nursing Home in Maryville.
Funeral services: Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, 11:00 am, Maitland Christian Church. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Maitland Cemetery.
