Terry worked as a truck driver and then became a deputy sheriff. He was elected as Holt County Sheriff, and served over two terms in office. Currently he was employed as a truck driver for Cunningham Farms.
Preceding him in death were his father, Duane Edwards; and his brother, Steven D. Edwards.
Survivors include his wife Dana of their Mound City home; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carly Edwards, Mound City; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Timothy Mooney, Maryville, Mo.; mother, Dorothy Galpin, Lancaster, Kan.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debi and Daniel Pickman, Lancaster, and Brenda and Mike Rehagen, Westphalia, Mo.; brother, Donnie Edwards, St. Joseph, Mo.; four grandchildren, Jaxon and Ryan Edwards, and Cooper and Bodie Mooney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernie and Sue Heits, Rock Port, Mo.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Matthew and Michelle Heits, Janah and Shaun Kent, and Tyler Heits; and nieces and nephews.
Services: Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, 11:00 am, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mound City. Family visitation: Tuesday evening 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Interment: Tharp Cemetery, Craig, Missouri. Memorials: Holt County Cancer Fund or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
