Tim W. Headley

Timothy W. Headley, 65, of Savannah, Missouri went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 28, 2023.  He died at home after a battle with ALS.  He was born in Fairfax on June 26, 1957 to Reed and Roberta (Ilsley) Headley.

Tim graduated from South Holt High R-I High School in 1975 and then from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1979 with a B.S. in Animal Husbandry and Biochemistry.  Tim was employed by Oscar Mayer-Kraft Foods in quality control.  On August 30, 1980, he married Cheryl Buntz.

Tim was a member of Central Christian Church, St. Joseph, since he and Cheryl moved to Northwest Missouri in 2019 after both retired.  Previously he was a member of Bettendorf Christian Church, Bettendorf, Iowa, where they raised their three children.  Tim served as an elder and Sunday School teacher to both adults and high school students.  His fervent desire was for everyone to know what they believed about Jesus Christ and why.  Tim also volunteered many hours mowing at Morning Star Academy, a Christian school near to his heart.  In his retirement he taught science one year at MSA and also served as facilities manager.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mark Headley.

Survivors include his wife and their three children, Joel Headley, Bettendorf, Iowa, Adam Headley, Sandy, Utah, and Julia Profit (Kris), Sandy, Utah; grandson, Samuel Profit and granddaughter, Cora Profit.  Also surviving are a brother, Dan Headley (Patricia), Thornton, Colorado; sister, Marcia Dungan (Don), St. Joseph, Missouri; sister-in-law, Ingrid Headley, Columbia, Missouri; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Chyre Buntz, Oregon, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Friday, May 5, 2023, 11:00 am, Central Christian Church, 1501 N Leonard Rd, St Joseph, MO . Family will greet friends at the church beginning at 9:30 am. Interment: Friday, 3:00 pm, Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, MO. Memorials may be directed to Morning Star Academy, Bettendorf, Iowa or Maple Grove Cemetery Association.
