Vivian B. Polaski

Vivian B. Polaski was born on January 18, 1911 in Forbes, Missouri. She was one of 10 children born to Tilford L. and Clara Ellen (Guyer) Brock.

Vivian attended school in Forbes. She later married Charles Andrew Polaski, and they became parents of three children. Charles farmed, and Vivian was a homemaker. Charles passed away in 1974.

Vivian passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 101.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Richard Polaski; brothers, Lahman and Charlie Brock; sisters, Hazel Hall, Elizabeth “Bet” Hughes, Flossie Stull, Florence Stull, and Marie Jackson; two infant siblings; and a grandson, Danny Ray Munyon.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Melvin Hayzlett of Forest City, Missouri, and Mary Lee and Albert Munyon of Oregon, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 41 great-great grandchildren.

Vivian was a member of the Oregon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and knitting.

Services were held on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Oregon United Methodist Church. Interment was at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Oregon. Memorials may be directed to the Oregon United Methodist Church Building Fund.
