Wendell D. Phillips

Wendell Dale Phillips was born in Craig, Missouri to Delbert Lee and Velma Maxine (Singleton) Phillips. Wendell graduated from Craig High School in 1956.

He married Margaret E. Miller on August 2, 1959.

Wendell retired from MoDOT, but had also worked for the railroad and as a mechanic.

Wendell passed away at his Oregon, Missouri home on May 19, 2016 at the age of 77.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Delbert and Donald; and sister, Mary Ann Allan.

Wendell is survived by his sons, Michael (Elena) Phillips, Corpus Christi, Texas; Kevin (Gina) Phillips, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and David (Jack) Phillips, Des Moines, Iowa; sister, Sharon (Dennis) Gates, Shenandoah, Iowa; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services: Tues, May 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Sharp’s Grove Church. Interment: Tharp Cemetery. Memorials: the Tharp Cemetery Association.
