Wynona "Nonie" Doris Prussman

Wynona “Nonie” Prussman was born in Mound City, Missouri on August 8, 1937, the only child of Charles E. “Mickey” and Rachael D. (Boone) McGuire.

On September 1, 1962 she married Max L. “Newt” Prussman in Miami, Oklahoma. They became parents of six children. Newt and Nonie were lifetime residents of the area. Max passed away in 2014.

Nonie was a member of the Happy Homes, Friendly Circle, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hatters. She was also blessed with being a Brownie Scout leader. Nonie worked at the Citizens Bank from the time she was in junior high until she began raising her family.

Nonie passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 82.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Lynn and Terry Anderson, Neal and Jodee Prussman, Jean Prussman, Jane Prussman, Beth and Jason Phelan, and Dale and Krissy Prussman; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.

Family visitation: Tues ., 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, with social distancing observed. Services: Wed ., 10:30 am, Oregon First Christian Church. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery.  Memorials: South Holt Athletic Booster Club Feed the Athletes, or the Oregon Care Center Staff.
