Zelpha Marie Steeby, 98, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at LaVerna Heights in Savannah.
She was born on January 1, 1921 in Altamont, Kansas to Ammon Richard and Zelma Faye (Palmer) Steeby. She was the oldest of eight children.
Zelpha worked as a beautician in Savannah for 24 years before her retirement, having trained at St. Joseph Beauty College.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, William "Bill" Steeby, Floyd "Jake" Steeby; and sisters, Bernita Hughes and Mildred Johnston.
Survivors include her brother, Edward Steeby of Savannah; sisters, Donna Shreve and Faye Atkins, both of Savannah; sister-in-law, Mary Steeby of Amazonia; brother-in-law, Franklin Hughes of Mound City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Zelpha enjoyed gardening, flowers, and quilting.
Funeral services: Saturday, March 23, 2019, 11:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Fillmore Cemetery.
